Early this morning, Bruce Scharfenberg passed of a heart attack that resulted of an infection of a broken foot. Bruce was an caring father of three (Chris, Grant and Hannah) and loving husband (Jill). He also symbolized the birth of our foundation as he was our 1st ever recipient.
He lived a life to be admired, loved all he encountered and never let a moment of appreciation pass without mention. He held an appreciation for life than many search for their entire lives. He also made sure that every loving encounter began and ended with a warm hug.
Bruce told Ryan and Kevin on November 16, 2008 that what we did for him and his family didn’t make an impact it made a crater. Well he was absolutely wrong…what he did for us the the L2G family left the real crater–one that will remain in our hearts forever.
Thank you Bruce for the best 12 hour journey of our lives!
All donations given to L2G in memory of Bruce will directly benefit the 2010 Holiday cause and a special tribute will included.
